INOX™ Combi-Tubes^®
The INOX™ Combi-Tubes^® are custom designed to easily slide over your perforated or louvered tube. With wire reinforcement along with the inside diameter to hold its shape, Combi-Tubes^® are designed for ease in handling in manufacturing. The acoustical absorption and the high temperature resistance of the 434 stainless steel wool make the Combi-Tube^® an ideal product for exhaust systems.

INOX™ Needlemat
INOX™ Needlemat is manufactured by needle punching a continuous web of 434 stainless steel wool. This needling process compresses the pad and intertwines the stainless steel fibers through the pad for extra strength and density. The INOX™ Needlemat can be wrapped around a tube or place in other areas of the muffler to displace heat and attenuate the sound.

INOX™ Sleeves
INOX™ Sleeves offer the same properties as Combi-Tubes^® but without the wire reinforcement.

High Temperature Fibrous Packs (Basalt Fiber & Wool)
American Metal Fibers Inc. offers the silencer or exhaust manufacturer an option of different pack materials, based on your specific performance requirements for acoustics. Our materials include:

GBF-22™ - AMFI's exclusive long strand basalt filament that offers the very best acoustic performance up to 1500 Hz. It's thermal properties are comparable with continuous high temperature glass yet more stable at temperatures over 600° Celsius.
Ford Motor Company certifies GBF-22™ as environmentally friendly.

Spun basalt wool.

E-glass wool (standard or continuous)

We offer these materials in many different forms, again designed to meet your requirements and assist in your assembly process. These packs are provided in the following ways:

GBF-22™, basalt or E-glass, with/without INOX™ wool, wrapped around a tube and covered with polyethylene film.

Molded GBF-22™, basalt or E-glass with resin added to hold the shape of the muffler or cavity, with/without INOX™ wool.

Loose GBF-22™, basalt or E-glass, with/without INOXT wool, contained within a polyethylene pillow.
